At the Heart of Our Professions
Portrait of Quentin, Junior Legal Counsel & Compliance Coordinator at Dussmann Luxembourg
Every day, Quentin works behind the scenes to ensure the legal security and compliance of Dussmann’s activities in Luxembourg. As the key point of contact for legal and compliance matters, he supports the company on strategic issues while remaining closely connected to on-the-ground realities.
His role is built on three essential pillars:
- Managing employee relations
- Securing commercial partnerships through the drafting of balanced contracts
- Supporting teams in the context of Luxembourg public procurement: analysis of tender specifications, legal guidance for operational teams, dispute management and contract drafting
The law should not be an obstacle to action, but a framework of trust that makes Dussmann’s growth in Luxembourg sustainable and predictable.
At the same time, Quentin ensures the implementation of the Dussmann Group’s compliance policy in Luxembourg. Guaranteeing data protection and coordinating whistleblowing alert systems are among his key responsibilities. He acts as a central point of contact between Management, operational teams and external experts to ensure a robust, compliant and continuously evolving framework.
His role alternates between strategic advisory work and the management of operational requirements. He supports the Human Resources department on labour law matters and contributes his expertise to complex public procurement procedures. Ongoing legal and regulatory monitoring enables him to anticipate legislative developments and adapt internal practices accordingly.
Beyond technical expertise, pedagogy plays a central role in his profession. Explaining the law and making it understandable is essential to ensure proper application of rules by both management and operational teams.
His career path reflects this openness. Drawn at an early stage to the European Union and Franco-German relations, he pursued a dual university degree in Franco-German law, including more than a year and a half of studies at the University of Mainz. After completing his studies and initially considering a career as a lawyer, he turned towards the role of in-house legal counsel and joined Dussmann, where he can deploy multidisciplinary expertise within a multicultural environment.
For Quentin, three words define his profession: coordination, listening and meticulousness. Identifying risks, proposing pragmatic solutions and communicating clearly are essential to supporting the company daily.
Convinced that data protection concerns everyone, he emphasizes that the GDPR is rooted in respect for a fundamental right: privacy. Raising awareness among teams, collaborating with external experts and maintaining high standards of confidentiality help limit risks and strengthen trust.
Through his commitment and rigor, Quentin contributes every day to securing Dussmann’s activities and maintaining a reliable and responsible legal framework, serving both the company and its employees.
